Well, I'm closing in on forty folks! I arrived at the garage at about 8:30 PM. A small rat immediately ran into its hole. Then I heard some scuffling to my left. A good sized rat climbed up my hanging bike, ran across the rafters, and disappeared in seconds. I climbed the ladder to get a better look when I saw two smaller rats running across a shelf and then down to the ground and escaped underneath the drywall. I felt like a failure. The one rat I wanted to get most was the large one of course. An hour and a half later I stepped in again. This time I heard a sound to my left and immediately saw the large rat sitting on top of a plastic storage tub behind my hanging bike. Since the bike was in the way, I waited. I kept my sight lined up on the creep until it jumped four feet to the ground. Ratty poked its head out of the right side of the box, I shined my flashlight there and its head quickly withdrew. Then it made its way to the left. I kept my light on the stinking vermin back and forth three or four times. Finally, its entire body emerged on the left side. It paused, trying to make a decision. It was all I needed. Another head shot sent number thirty nine into a backward somersault. After vibrating and bleeding for about thirty seconds it was all over.

Notice the bump? Is that a pregnant or nursing rat?

We all love head shots don't we?

Nice trail, you can see the rats tail at the bottom of the photo.
